Sapient Living was founded in 2018, but the experience and passion to serve this community began well beforehand. Founders Rebecca and Thomas Webber met during their college years at Western Washington University. Even from their early days it was clear that they shared a need to heal from their early-life trauma. Over the years, their love for each other and passion to recover helped them gain a deep respect for the importance of continued personal development and diligent self care.
Before Rebecca and Thomas met, Rebecca worked as an activist, community organizer and event planner, partnering with hundreds of volunteers, students, interns and staff members to enact important social change. In her work, Rebecca became familiar with the pain of burnout and the toll it can take on one’s plans for themselves and their initiatives. As she learned to address the lack of sustainability in her own life, she shared her findings with Thomas and together they dedicated themselves to helping others address the limiting beliefs and unhealthy programs that hold us all back and can even make us ill.
For the past three years, Thomas has served as a community mental health clinician. This experience has taken Rebecca and Thomas’ ability to serve their clients to a whole new level. Thomas has enjoyed working with over a hundred individuals to help them stay true to their own personality, character, values and beliefs despite external pressures and past traumas. Though the practice and study of shadow work Thomas is able to help those he works with get to the root of their troubles while turning their trauma into wisdom.
Rebecca and Thomas are excited to work with their current and future clients, to help them take exceptionally good care of themselves as they navigate their way out of stress cycles, burnout and the numerous issues untended trauma can have on our bodies and minds. It is an honor to serve in this way. Please explore the site to learn more about our growing list of services.
